He is one of the most boring teachers I have taken here. First half of his screenwriting class was a complete waste - just read the Screenwriters Bible (at least that won't put you to sleep as constantly). Unfortunately he's the only professor who teaches screenwriting. Just warning you that he does drone on in a monotone pitch that will bore you.

If you enjoy being taught exactly what you read from the textbook the class before, then this man is for you. If you want an A on a genre piece, better make sure it's clean enough to be published. He nervously laughs during class, talks about his own writing too much, and almost seems indifferent or extremely tired every day. Not recommended.

If you want an A in English, do not take his class. But if you value the "learning experience" more than your GPA (plus get released early almost once a week), then his class is the right one for you.Also he is often very tedious restating everything in the book.

Professor Hrebik is a very nice guy who is passionate about writing. You also get to do rewrites and he gives lots of helpful pointers.

He's an almost painfully easy grader ? three papers with rewrites that replace the original grade. I'd recommend saving $60 and not buying the book because all the stories can be found online. But I'd take him again, he's a very good teacher and he's interesting. He also picks good stuff; we watched part of Pulp Fiction and read Watchmen in class!

AN AMAZING TEACHER. i had him for 122 too and i loved him!! i wish i could have him for every english. he has been my favorite teacher of all time. he is not hard, just three papers and rewrites. your hardly in class too. TAKE HIM AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! he is the best

VERY funny and personable guy. Let's you rewrite all your papers after he gives you a tentative grade and a lot of helpful feedback. He lets you out early when he's done rather than just rambling on.

He is a really good teacher; he hardly ever keeps you the whole class, if you have class, and the papers are easy, you write about one a week. Even the final was super easy; he gave us the article we were writing on!!!

First off hes hot. Secondly, he usually let out early. And the tests usually had questions that were discussed in class. Sometimes he'd let you use your notes and book for the test. And most times, he would let u take the test home.

Dale Hrebik is the best teacher that I have ever had in my life. Take any one of his classes if you haven't already. He's the rare teacher that will inspire you to pursue projects on your own. He made me love reading and writing (before I hated it). I now devour books and write regularly. This man changed my life. FOR GODSAKES GIVE HIM TENURE.

doesn't use a rubric when he assigns papers, talks down to his students, and generally acts pretentious through half of the class. class lasts ten minutes and he sends you on your way. assigns papers without being very clear about what he wants and doles out D's and F's, but lets you rewrite. avoid him like the plague.

Hrebik is the man! Great grader, held class outside the class room (with cheese fries). Was always so honest and straightforward. I want to take anything he teaches. Seriously awesome with a vast knowledge of LIFE. I love Dale! He's awesome! (And hot.)

I LOVE DALE HREBIK. He is such an interesting/nice guy. His classes are fun and keep you thinking. Sometimes, you get out early. Papers are graded very fairly. I would marry this man.

Doing an excellent job teaching a new class without having been given much to go on. Very personable. Encourages class discussion. And what is the story behind the eyebrow piercing?

Hrebik is funny, very laid back. You'll be at ease in his class. But as stated earlier, he won't pull any punches in his grading. As long as you put effort in class you'll be fine. Great teacher.

Hrebik was great. He wore leather pants to class quite often. Very laid back...sometimes classes only lasted for 10 minutes. He teaches some good material but despite his appearances and teaching methods, he's a tough grader.
