bonjour, mon ancetre robert boyd (boyte) a immigré de l'écosse au canada en 1775. il est parti du port glascow en mars 1775 sur le bateau friends ship.  je ne trouve aucune trace de ses parents?? et en plus son epouse est sara redford, et je n'ai aucune trace d'elle...Pouvez vous m'aider please thank you very much

Robert Boyte: 10 March 1752
Married in London to Sarah/Sara Redford
Died in Quebec, Canada 21st December 1799, buried 2 days later.

According to this family tree Robert Boyte's children were: Benjamin Boyte, Helen Boyte, Andrew Boyte, Marguerite Boyce and Jaques Boyte.

Robert Boyte's parents: Benjamin Boyte (1730-1807) and Eleanor.

Yes, the tree also has him as being born in Dorset. He probably got the ship from Scotland but was English  :)
