Make-up artist, 28, shares her shock transformation from Myspace emo to glam blonde beauty

Brookelle McKenzie wowed Instagram fans with her incredible throwback pic

AN Instagram star has shocked fans after revealing her incredible transformation from Myspace ‘scene queen’ to glamorous blonde make-up artist.

Brookelle McKenzie, from Queensland, Australia, was once known as 'Brookelle Bones' and rocked gothic black hair, heavy eyeliner and pale skin.

The 28-year-old now looks unrecognisable with tanned skin, glossy Barbie-like blonde locks and a plump pout.

Brookelle told her 900,000 Instagram followers that there is 14 years difference between the two photos.

Inspired to share the pics by the viral 10-Year Challenge, she wrote: “I know I'm so late on the train but you dolls asked for it, so here it is.

“This is actually a 14 year challenge. I was 14 years old on the left and I'm now 28.

“I feel like I'm revealing my true identity. Who remembers the MySpace Brookelle?

“Back when everyone had Tom in their top eight and you could put cute falling hearts on your profile page. I used to cut my own hair with a razor. What a time to have been alive.”

Her followers were stunned by the makeover, writing: “Wow doesn’t even look like the same person.”

“Oh my god yesss!!! SO many of us  had our hair cut like that lol,” wrote another.

A third added: “When you looked up ‘scene hair’ in 2008 this would show up haha.”

Another said: 'You were everything I wanted to be when I was in high school! The reason I was a wannabe "scene queen"'.

Brokelle modelled for a toy company called Skelanimals and was a poster child for 'emo' and 'scene'-minded teenagers in the early 2000s.

Urban Dictionary classifies a "scene queen" as a girl who wears "eyeliner that covers 73 per cent of her upper face, multi-coloured hair extensions, a long and draping fringe, mismatched punk rock clothing and a penchant for lead singers in a band".

Brookelle underwent her dramatic makeover after as Myspace was superseded by Facebook in 2008.

She has since dyed her hair a bright blonde colour and become a makeup artist, represented by Roxy Jacenko's talent agency The Ministry of Talent.
