Fate of the Flesh explores what happens when seventeenth-century poets posit a resurrection body within the historical person.

In this publication we present a short Latin tale in prose preserved in the Codex Miscellaneus from the Roca-Puig collection. The main character of this text is the emperor Hadrian (AD 117-138).

It is these new experiences that the book terms 'the life of the flesh'.

This book encompasses material from both disciplines, and focuses on their interactions which are particularly apparent in this field.
