It is a very fast soil mix,in hot temps. it needs to be watered 2 times a day. Pubes LOVE it. I can't water 2 X a day so I use more like a 3-1-1 or 4-1-1 mix. I also use Pomice in some of my pots,tall plants tip pots over in the wind. I use a 5-1-1-1 mix (bark , Peat , Perlite , Pomice) for tall plants that are top heavy.Making your own potting mix - Threefold Farm

Evergreen Soil Conditioner That sounds different from the Lowes "Fine Bark Nuggets" I like best. My "Fine Bark Nuggets" have SO LITTLE bark dust and powder that I do add some "peaty mix".
