YEREVAN, MAY 11, ARMENPRESS. During the meeting with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas said the Palestinian issue is impossible to solve without Russia’s meaningful participation, TASS reports.

“It is impossible to solve the Palestinian issue without Russia’s meaningful participation. That is what we always seek for and have been emphasizing at all international meetings”, Abbas said.

He said Russia’s stance remained firm which supports creation of independent Palestinian state with the 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital.

“We have been hearing you reiterate this position”, Abbas said.
