Over the years, Arnold Schwarzenegger has shown himself to be someone who wants his vehicles to be just as big as his blockbusters. And now, one of the more interesting vehicles to pass through his collection is about to go up for grabs.

A 1977 Mercedes-Benz Unimog U1300 SE that belonged to no other than the Terminator himself will be auctioned off by Barrett Jackson’s in Arizona next month. The brawny truck may not have spent much time in his possession, but it has been fully customized to meet his needs and tastes.

We all know that Schwarzenegger loves the Humvee and Hummer, but that’s clearly not the only bruiser he has room for in his heart. The Unimog, a heavy-duty truck that’s been in production since the late 1940s, may not be as well-known on these shores, but it’s easy to see why it would have struck the actor’s fancy. This example of the ultra-utilitarian vehicle was fully restored, modified, upgraded in 2012 by the German Unimog specialists Merex Mertec and can do anything a Hummer can—and more.

The True Lies star owned this Unimog between 2012 and 2014, according to Motor1.com. The truck’s burly exterior is finished in glossy silver and has a black bumper, fenders, and bed-mounted roll bars. The front of the vehicle is also equipped with a black bush guard with spotlights. Inside, you’ll find black leather seats, a rear-view camera system, and a Blaupunkt stereo system. The key detail, though, is Arnold’s signature, which you’ll find splashed across the center of the dashboard.

WATCH

Under the hood lurks a turbodiesel 6.4-liter inline six that can churn out 320 hp, according to the auction listing. The mill should be in good shape thanks to the restoration and having totaled less than 2,700 miles over its lifetime. It is mated to a five-speed manual that sends power to the rear axle, but the front wheels can be enabled if you want to use the vehicle like a 4×4. There is also an air suspension, which should allow for a smoother ride on- or off-road.

Schwarzenegger’s Unimog is set to go up for bid late next month, as part of Barrett-Jackson’s annual Scottsdale auction at WestWorld. No estimate is listed for the truck and it is being sold without reserve so you might be able to get it for a bargain, though we wouldn’t bet on that considering its former owner.
