The mic works great. Easy to use with DSLR. The sound quality is significantly better than the in camera mic but there is still a little background noise. I was about 15 feet from my subject and had a little background noise from an AC unit in the room. I think it will work better on a mic stand that is closer to my subject. Overall, it's a great mic for the price. Great value mic that will improve your audio without spending a lot.
