Nestled within the medieval hilltop village of Castelmuzio, this unique villa was once the home of an Italian nobleman. It retains a sense of grandeur, with sumptuous red walls in the stately living room and antique furnishings (think vintage shutters and a clawfoot tub in the master suite). Each of the bedrooms has a distinct colour palette, in rich shades with designer details. Siena is famous for its fresh produce including olive oil, white truffles and pecorino cheese, which makes cooking in the traditional kitchen even more fun. Have your meals outside on the terrace with the sun on your face and birdsong in the air. It’s easy to unwind here with a private plunge pool and sun loungers on hand. The village's cobbled alleyways are perfect for a wander, and there is a small restaurant, bar and grocery shop nearby. and with Siena, a scenic fifty-minute drive away with ample villages and towns in between, there are plenty of opportunities to delve headfirst into the culture and history of this stunning region. The host can also arrange cooking classes, wine tours and truffle hunting to make your holiday one to remember.
