Product description

Phillyrea angustifolia is also known as stone lime. It is a medium-sized to large evergreen shrub from the olive family. It has a bushy, dense growth form and narrow, lanceolate, dark green to grey-green, leathery leaves. In May and June, it blooms with fragrant, greenish-white, four-lobed flowers. Phillyrea likes a sheltered position in full sun or half-shadow and is satisfied with any well-drained soil type. This stone lime is a good coastal plant, tolerant to sea winds, disease resistant, fairly hardy and resistant to air pollution. Once well established it is also drought resistant. Application and use in hedges, informal gardens and borders.
