Prunus subhirtella ‘Pendula Rubra’ – Weeping Cherry
We have this weeping cherry growing as a feature tree in the gardens here and it is a real stunner. In spring it becomes covered in masses of single pink flowers and never fails to get compliments. It also puts on a lovely foliage display once autumn rolls around.
Foliage emerges after flowering and is a lustrous dark green. The finely serrated leaves turn orange to yellow-orange in autumn, adding seasonal interest.
Propagated onto a tall standard at approximately 1.8 metres.
