Prunus maackii 'Amber Beauty' Prunus maackii 'Amber Beauty'

Vigorous tree with an oval semi-transparent crown. Eventual height approx. 8 - 12 m. Is remarkable for the fact that the bark of the trunk and older branches has an uncommon yellow-brown to copper-yellow colour and flakes off. The oval to narrow oval leaves measure aprox. 10 cm and have a pointed top and a finely serrated edge. They are bright green in colour. The small bunches of fragrant white flowers appear in April. The tree does not produce many flowers. The flowers are followed by small black fruits. A pretty tree for use as a solitary in parks and gardens. Does not stand up to hard surfaces and fails to grow well in wet soil. Winter hardiness zone: 3
Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2024.
