Acer cappadocicum 'Rubrum' Caucasian maple, Cappadocian maple

This medium-sized tree is in all aspects and characteristics akin to the previously described 'Aureum'. The only difference is the colour of the leaves. The juvenile foliage of 'Rubrum' is deep purple-red and turns to a dark reddish green during summer. In autumn the leaves turn deep yellow. Unlike the yellow leaves of 'Aureum', 'Rubrum' is insensitive to scorch during sunny periods in summer. 'Rubrum' is an excellent street and park tree, but is less tolerant to hard surfaces than the yellow-leaved 'Aureum'.
Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2024.
