A broad tree with a conspicuously fan-shaped crown. The large bipinnate leaves are dark green and consist of numerous small, sickle-shaped leaflets, giving the tree an attractive texture. The leaves fold and close in the evening. ‘Boubri’ blossoms profusely even when young. The flowers consist of dense heads that are grouped together on long stalks. The pure, pinkish red stamens project about 3 cm above the flowers. Requires shelter in severe winters.
