Fraxinus americana 'Skyline' has a wide ovoid, symmetrical crown with a good upright-growing top. Height 10 - 13 m, spread circa 8 - 10 m. The 40 cm large leaves are shiny fresh green and odd-pinnate with usually 7 leaflets. Autumn colour is a nice orange red. It is a male cultivar and therefore bears no fruits. Useful as a stately avenue tree for wide street profiles and a park tree. Prefers moist, slightly acid soil. It is good wind resistant. Winter hardiness zone: 4
