BUXUS sempervirens 'Rotundifolia'

Description

Evergreen shrub, used above all in topiary art because of its excellent resistance to pruning, making it ideal to be worked into any shape. Leaves are small, leathery, glossy, and of a deep green color turning to brick-red due to the cold winter. Greenish insignificant but fragrant flowers bloom in spring.

Suggestions

Very rustic and adaptable plant; for a great development it needs sunny and shaded positions, but it's better to avoid the direct sun. in summer, it needs periodical irrigations but it's important avoiding water stagnations. It's a good pot plant, but it's also good for hedges or borders. Due to its summer internodes, it is caractherized by a faster growth rate than other cultivars.
